HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in New York to hire Spanish Bilingual Math Tutors who will assist students in grades 6th through 8th during and after school hours. You will supervise students, help them close learning gaps from the previous year, and support their academic progress.

Note: An in-person background check is required.

Pay 💰

• \$32 - \$38 per hour
• Compensation based on education and experience, determined at the interview

Job Duties

• Supervise groups of students independently (without teacher support)
• Prepare tutoring areas for sessions
• Manage student pickup/drop-off at designated areas
• Take attendance and run lessons via HeyTutor Dashboard
• Record student progress and assessments
• Facilitate baseline and summative assessments as requested
• Lead tutoring sessions using provided curriculum and materials
• Create an engaging and welcoming environment
• Support positive behavior choices among students
• Interact actively with students during lessons
• Daily clock-in/out via Deputy
• Perform any other duties assigned by management or school staff

Schedule 🕒

Availability between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Requirements ✅

• Spanish bilingual proficiency
• Bachelor’s degree completed
• Experience in tutoring and working with kids
• Comfortable in a classroom setting
• Strong FBI-DOJ background check (provided by us)
