📝 Position Overview

This is a substitute position within our Maternelle (Grades PK to K). Start date is immediate, with ongoing availability necessary. Your role will involve covering for faculty absences at our Early Childhood Center or Maternelle.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Appropriately supervise children while ensuring their safety at all times
• Assist teachers and assistants with classroom organization and materials
• Lead student group activities when needed
• Support pedagogical methods in line with the school's philosophy
• Review lesson plans and familiarize yourself with goals and instructions
• Foster children’s well-being and engagement, safeguarding their physical and emotional safety
• Prepare materials for daily activities and special projects
• Supervise snack distribution and ensure proper hygiene
• Organize and file students’ work weekly
• Display students’ artwork and achievements
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment daily
• Ensure educational materials and toys are in good condition

🎓 Skills and Qualifications

• Understanding of young children’s unique needs and abilities
• Previous experience working with children
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Proficiency in French is a plus
• Physical and mental capacity to care for a large group of children independently
• 6 ECE Units required; 12 units preferred
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliable attendance
• Legal right to work in the U.S.

💰 Salary & Compensation

• Daily rate: $150.00 - $175.00
• Short-term substitute (1-12 weeks): $150.00/day
• Long-term substitute (13+ weeks): $175.00/day
