Position: Massage Therapist

As a Massage Therapist at ClareMedica, you will play a vital role in delivering therapeutic massages, promoting healing, relaxation, and overall wellbeing for our seniors.

📝 Job Responsibilities

• Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body for therapeutic purposes.
• Assess patients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
• Consult with patients regarding medical histories and any stress or pain concerns to determine the suitability of massage therapy.
• Develop and propose treatment plans that specify the types of massage to be used.
• Perform massages and kneading techniques to treat medical conditions, injuries, or for wellness maintenance.
• Prepare and blend oils for application on clients' skin.
• Maintain accurate treatment records for each patient.
• Offer guidance on techniques for postural improvement, stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises.
• Administer massage therapy treatments using various methods and equipment, including hydrotherapy tanks, whirlpools, infrared lamps, ultrasound, and other physical agents.
• Supervise and direct treatments provided by aides, technicians, and assistants when applicable.
• Document patient care services in patient and department records.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information to ensure trust and privacy.
• Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment, including troubleshooting and calling for repairs when necessary.
• Contribute to team success by achieving related goals and supporting colleagues.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist
• Licensed Massage Therapist (required)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
