Position Details

• Location: New Castle County, Delaware (In-Person)
• Language Needed: Mandarin
• Availability: Daytime hours, approximately 1 hour per month

📝 Responsibilities

• Travel to local client sites within New Castle County, Delaware
• Provide Mandarin-English interpreting for school meetings, conferences, medical appointments, and more
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Follow the Code of Professional Conduct, maintaining strict confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies, protocols, and industry best practices for interpretation

🔍 Job Requirements

• Full fluency in both English and Mandarin
• Availability during daytime hours (9AM - 5PM)
• Support for interpreting clients up to 5 hours/month
• Reliable transportation to local sites
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience (preferred but not mandatory)
• Industry certifications/trainings (e.g., CMI, CCHI) are a plus
• Willingness to undergo background checks (Federal, State, Child Abuse Registry)
• Reliable phone service for communication
• Comfortable using a computer or smartphone for job input
