Position: Mandarin Chinese Language Instructor (Part Time)

Location: Lake View Terrace

🌟 General Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, you will plan and facilitate beginner-level Mandarin Chinese instructional sessions to support our students’ language learning journey.

📝 Major Duties

• Meet regularly with the Director of Educational Development
• Plan and facilitate group and/or 1:1 beginner Mandarin Chinese language sessions
• Assist students in developing study skills, completing homework and projects, and exploring topics of interest
• Maintain consistent communication with the Director
• Model appropriate academic and social behaviors
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels 🌍
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility
• Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese academic content and skills
• Ability to apply knowledge and tools to help students access material
• Capacity to collect and analyze data to inform instruction
• Ability to work independently with critical thinking and problem-solving skills

🎓 Qualifications

Candidates must possess extensive teaching and/or tutoring experience in Mandarin Chinese.
