Role Overview

When a teacher is absent, a qualified substitute is needed to keep the learning going. As a substitute teacher, you’ll become a vital part of a school's educational team, enhancing your teaching skills while providing a seamless learning experience for students!

In this role, you will assist with classroom instruction during a teacher's absence by following lesson plans, supporting student understanding, and maintaining classroom routines.

Responsibilities 📝

• Deliver meaningful instruction to students in your assigned classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
• Implement classroom routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Create and sustain a safe and organized classroom environment
• Report student injuries, illnesses, and discipline issues to school administration promptly
• Perform additional duties as directed by school administration

Qualifications ✅

• Certified – Valid NJ CE, CEAS, or Standard Teacher Certification
• NJ Criminal History Letter
• Tuberculosis Test
