Join Our Team as a Logistics Officer 🌍
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Logistics Officer to thrive in a dynamic environment, ensuring efficient management of logistics and procurement activities that support our humanitarian programs.
Responsibilities
Generic Responsibilities
- Implement delegated logistics functions according to the Plan of Action.
- Oversee daily operational logistics activities and follow up on their progress.
- Support resource administration to meet deliverables within budgets, timelines, and standards.
- Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Maintain proper filing of all support documents for transparency and accountability.
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance in procurement processes aligned with NRC handbooks, SOPs, and donor regulations.
- Maintain an accurate supplier database and monitor local market conditions.
- Prepare and submit supporting documentation in line with NRC SOPs.
- Communicate effectively with program departments regarding supply deliveries and keep all stakeholders informed of changes.
- Manage the Unit4 Procurement system to ensure it is up-to-date and accessible for managers weekly and monthly.
- Complete procurement files promptly for timely payments.
- Update and maintain the Procurement Tracker / Unit4 reflecting the status of POs, PRs, contracts, and waivers.
Qualifications
Professional Competencies
- Experience as a logistics officer in humanitarian or recovery settings
- Experience working in complex, volatile environments
- Proven results related to logistics and procurement responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Context-Related Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics or procurement management
- Proficiency in English and Arabic; Hebrew is an asset
- Knowledge of logistics operations, procurement, asset management, and fleet oversight
- Experience ensuring compliance with organizational and donor standards
