Position Responsibilities

Logistics Assistant Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse operations, goods distribution, and fleet logistics 🚚
  • Coordinate movement of items between FAO offices, suppliers, and sources 📦
  • Oversee office asset distribution, inventory, and storage management 🏢
  • Support office setup, renovations, and operational readiness 🛠️
  • Supervise cleaning, security, and maintenance staff to ensure a healthy work environment 🧹
  • Maintain vehicles, conduct minor repairs, and ensure cleanliness 🚗
  • Handle supply chain management, including procurement and vendor relationships 🔧
  • Coordinate security operations and supervise security personnel 🔒
  • Respond to emergencies and liaise with security services 🚨

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Requirements

Secondary School Education or a first-level university degree in Social Science, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years with secondary education or 2 years with a bachelor’s degree in relevant logistics roles
  • At least 1 year of experience with UN agencies 🏳️
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.) 💻
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Jerusalem and West Bank 🚗
  • Experience with fleet management, vehicle maintenance, and insurance is essential

Desired Skills & Knowledge

  • Possession of a valid Category C driving license (for trucks up to 12 tons) 🚛
  • Experience with ERP systems and logistics supervision 📊
  • Familiarity with office utilities, supplier management, and procurement processes

Language Proficiency

  • Arabic: Required 🇴🇲
  • English: Working knowledge 📝
  • Hebrew: Desired 🌐
