Salary Range: $70,977 - $75,301 (based on rank and step)
Salary Scale: Refer to Salary Scale Table 15 for detailed pay structure.

Position Description
The Literatures of the World Section in the Department of Literature at UC San Diego is seeking a part-time instructor starting Fall 2026. The position involves teaching three intermediate French courses throughout the academic year.
Key Duties
- Designing syllabi and teaching French courses 2A, 2B, and 2C (three courses per year)
- Administering and scoring placement exams during Winter and Spring quarters
- Processing enrollment authorization requests via EASy during Winter and Spring quarters
- Holding office hours for student support
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required at the Time of Application)
- M.A. in French, French Literature, French Linguistics, or a related field
- Ph.D. in French, French Literature, French Linguistics, or a related field
- Experience teaching French language and literature courses
