CACI Is Hiring A Linguist Translator Transcriber Interpreter

Join CACI's mission-critical team as a Kazakh & Russian Language Professional, supporting U.S. government operations with specialized translation and interpretation expertise. This is a travel-only role requiring TS/SCI clearance and regional language proficiency.

About the Position

We are seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates fluent in Kazakh and Russian to support our prime contract operations in Fairfax, VA. Candidates will be deployed for periods of 4 to 8 weeks at a time, with rotations back home for the same duration.

Responsibilities

• 🔍 Accurately translate reports and texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing facts, abstract language, implications, and nuances.
• 🌐 Interpret with accuracy, primarily via consecutive interpretation, with occasional simultaneous interpretation.
• 🗣️ Demonstrate proficiency in regional dialects relevant to the target areas.
• 🎧 Transcribe audio or internet materials with high accuracy and expressive quality.
• ✍️ Possess excellent English-language written communication skills for report preparation.
• 📄 Identify and summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.
• 💻 Have strong computer skills including MS Office to produce translations and conduct basic web research.
• 🗣️ Exhibit excellent verbal English skills for briefings and presentations.

Requirements

• 🇺🇸 Must be a US Citizen.
• 🛡️ Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Polygraph.
• 📝 Ability to pass an advanced English test.
• 🌎 Capable of scoring ILR Level 3 or higher on the target language translation test.
• 🛫 Ability to deploy with a valid active passport.
• 🕐 Minimum of 5 years of professional translation, transcription, or interpretation experience.
• 🌍 In-depth knowledge of geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural aspects of the target language areas.
• 🖥️ Mastery of MS Office and strong internet research skills.
