Your Role: Legal Operations & Litigation Manager

As a key leader, you'll oversee the operational backbone of our Legal Department while managing our litigation portfolio. This role combines strategic leadership in legal operations with hands-on litigation management, aiming for efficiency, compliance, and predictable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Litigation Management: Managing all stages from intake, insurance coordination, law firm selection, case strategy, discovery, to settlement planning and creating playbooks for litigation matters.
  • Legal Operations Leadership: Overseeing filing systems, billing, and implementing SOPs and playbooks for consistent processes.
  • Financial & Vendor Oversight: Developing budgets, negotiating rates, tracking spend, and maintaining law firm scorecards.
  • Technology & Data: Driving adoption of legal tech tools, including AI solutions.
  • Administrative Support: Handling scheduling, preparing agendas, managing correspondence, organizing files, and assisting the General Counsel with document review and research.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating cross-department communication within the organization.

🔍 Your Expertise & Knowledge

  • Proficient to advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and strict deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all tasks.
  • Consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance.

📝 Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years at employment start.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (4+ years).
  • At least 3 years of experience in legal operations, litigation management, legal assistance, insurance, or related fields.
  • Proven leadership in project management and effective communication at an executive level.
  • Fluency in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Physical ability to access the ballpark for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Completion of all pre-employment requirements, including background checks.

💰 Compensation & Benefits

The base pay range for this full-time role is $36.06 to $40.87 per hour, based on experience, education, and skills, in accordance with California law.
