About the Role 🔍

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dynamic Country Lead Italy to take on a strategic and operational role within the Orphan Drug Division for a neurology product. This pivotal position serves as the primary contact in Italy, liaising directly with the global team while cultivating relationships with local stakeholders. Combining scientific expertise, strategic thinking, operational management, and a customer-centric approach, the role aims to enhance disease awareness, patient care, and treatment access.

The ideal candidate will be field-oriented, dedicating at least four days per week to field activities across Italy. This position offers a competitive bonus scheme, car allowance, and a structured selection process, providing a unique opportunity to influence the rare disease landscape significantly.

Requirements ✅

  • Degree in life sciences and a valid driving license (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in specialty care or orphan drugs, with a focus on key account management and achieving business targets.
  • Key Account Management experience: managing key accounts, resource allocation, budget development, and prioritization.
  • Flexibility: capable of balancing operational duties with strategic and managerial tasks in a hybrid role.
  • English proficiency: excellent written and spoken skills essential for communication with the global team.
  • Native-level Italian is mandatory.
  • Leadership and Communication skills: ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of local compliance regulations is a plus, ensuring activities align with Italian standards.

Responsibilities 🎯

  • Serve as the national reference point for all commercial, promotional, and patient care initiatives in Italy.
  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with key opinion leaders, treatment centers, and patient organizations.
  • Map and analyze the patient journey to identify barriers and opportunities for improved care.
  • Develop and execute business strategies in collaboration with the global team.
  • Allocate resources effectively to optimize performance and meet business objectives.
  • Create strategic action plans aligned with company priorities and market needs.
  • Implement regional and global strategies through tailored field initiatives, ensuring compliance with national regulations.
  • Manage the annual budget, monitor results, and adapt strategies as necessary.
  • Complete mandatory training, testing, and product certifications within specified timeframes to ensure full compliance.
