Latest Job Opportunity: Japanese Teacher in Hartford, CT

We might have an exciting role for you teaching Japanese one-on-one to a student in Hartford.

Course Details:

• Location: Public venue in Hartford, 06078 (student resides in Suffield)
• Course Duration: 20 hours
• Schedule:
  • Frequency: Once per week
  • Duration: 2-hour classes
  • Days: Weekdays (excluding Wednesdays)
  • Time: Between 11am and 3pm
  • Start Date: ASAP
• Student Profile:
  • Beginners aiming to move to Japan as an ALT through the JET programme by July 27th
  • Focus on listening and speaking — maximum language input with minimal English during lessons
  • Goals include acquiring vocabulary, phrases, and developing a sense for the language, with some focus on grammatical patterns

Ideal Candidate:

• Native speaker of Japanese OR hold a teaching degree
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter
• Valid working visa
• Reside within 20 miles of Hartford

Additional Information:

Class location and schedule can be flexible based on mutual availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on your qualifications and experience. This is a freelance, part-time position. Please note, we are unable to sponsor visas.
