Overview

The main function of a logistics specialist is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. This includes reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, as well as compiling reports on inventory levels and costs. 📦

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze key operational and financial indicators regularly
• Identify root causes for discrepancies between actual performance and forecasts
• Analyze issues and prepare reports or recommendations as requested by team leaders or department heads
• Investigate claim requests to determine validity
• Communicate with vendors to recover on claims
• Gather and analyze claim-related documentation
• Support ad-hoc reporting needs

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field
• Proficiency with SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and in team settings to meet project goals and deadlines
• Experience with advanced supply chain management, enterprise planning, or financial planning systems (highly desired)
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
