Position: Japanese Teacher

As a Japanese Teacher at Pinnacle School, you will craft an immersive language experience, fostering communication skills, confidence, and cultural understanding through engaging and individualized instruction. Support students with diverse needs while nurturing curiosity, connection, and growth within our collaborative community. 🌏📚

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in education, special education, Japanese, or a related field; Master's preferred
• Valid Connecticut teaching certification in World Language, Special Education, or eligibility to obtain certification
• Minimum of two years experience teaching students with language-based learning differences
• Experience with IEP development, progress monitoring, and data collection
• Strong communication skills paired with a collaborative, flexible, and student-centered approach

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver immersive Japanese language lessons that enhance practical communication skills
• Adapt instruction to meet the diverse social, emotional, and learning needs of each student
• Collaborate with clinicians, therapists, and educators to support student growth and achieve IEP goals
• Create a structured, engaging classroom environment that supports executive functioning and positive behavior
• Promote cultural awareness by introducing Japanese traditions, customs, and perspectives
