About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced tutor to deliver long-term, one-on-one Italian lessons to a student learning the language as a second language. Experience working with neurodiverse learners, particularly those on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) or with other special education needs, is highly valued.

This is a fully remote, flexible position where your schedule aligns with the student’s needs, all within Pacific Standard Time (PST). ⏰

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Education, Linguistics, Italian Studies, or related fields preferred) 🎓
• TESOL, TEFL, or similar certification strongly preferred 📜
• Experience teaching or tutoring Italian, especially in a virtual environment 💻
• Experience working with students with special needs or in special education settings is highly valued 🌈
• Professional tutoring setup including reliable high-speed internet, webcam, microphone/headset, and access to online teaching tools 🎧📶
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability 🤝
• Availability during Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours to match the student’s schedule ⏳
