• Pay: $15 - $17 per hour (Colorado applicants: $15.16 - $19.29/hour)
• Type: Video-Phone Interpretation (Verbal translation only)

Position Overview 🔍

The Italian Video-Telephone Interpreter facilitates real-time oral communication between Italian and English speakers, covering industries such as healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel, law enforcement, and more. You will:

• Handle on-demand calls across various sectors
• Break down communication barriers with cultural sensitivity
• Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and accuracy
• Navigate complex discussions with tact and neutrality

This is a fully remote role—you'll work from your home office ensuring a quiet and secure environment.

Essential Job Functions ✅

• Promptly respond to video and audio interpretation sessions with professionalism
• Participate in online, video, and audio training sessions
• Utilize appropriate technology (laptop, tablet, phone) to deliver services
• Accurately interpret concepts, avoiding omissions or additions
• Communicate clearly and courteously in both languages
• Maintain professionalism under all circumstances, including emergency calls
• Adhere to client protocols and industry standards
• Remain culturally sensitive and respect diverse perspectives
• Remain punctual and available during assigned shifts

Note: Calls may involve sensitive topics or high emotional stress; staying composed and providing high standards of service are essential.

Qualifications & Skills 🌟

• Fluent in Italian and English, with an understanding of cultural nuances
• Strong listening, retention, and note-taking skills for high accuracy
• Ability to stay neutral, objective, and discrete during sensitive conversations
• Background in language-related fields (teaching, translation, interpretation) preferred
• Adapts to new technologies and tools seamlessly
• Minimum age: 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read and write in both languages (highly preferred)

• Quiet, distraction-free workspace
• Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, and headset for extended periods
• Manual dexterity to type and lift up to 26 lbs
• Comfort in a moderate noise environment
