Join a dynamic team as a Security Specialist (Level 2 – Intermediate / Subject-Matter Associate), focusing on enhancing cybersecurity capabilities with a supportive work environment and meaningful responsibilities.
🔐 About the Role
This role reports directly to the Deputy CISO and serves as a Subject Matter Expert in Identity and Access Management (IAM). You will operate with partial autonomy to develop and improve security measures across the organization.
📝 Core Responsibilities
- Backup support: Serve as backup for the Security Analyst
- Access Management: Manage access privileges across all platforms and enforce secure practices by personnel
- Vulnerability Scanning: Run internal scans on all systems and interpret results to guide remediation
- Threat Detection: Analyze logs from various platforms to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and gaps, proposing mitigation strategies
- Collaboration: Coordinate with local IT and Home Office teams for cybersecurity tasks
- Monitoring: Oversee logs from firewalls, Active Directory, SWIFT, Internet Banking, and others
- Procedure Development: Compile and enhance cybersecurity procedures aligned with CISO’s strategy
- Team Support: Assist other Security Department members as needed
- Technical Leadership: Lead areas such as IAM, Data Loss Prevention, Endpoint Security, and Vulnerability Management
- Incident Response: Handle security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and provide forensic support
- Security Tools & Tuning: Manage tools like SIEM, Tenable VM, M365 Intune/Entra ID, and mailbox security
- Vendor & Risk Assessments: Support third-party security assessments and annual risk evaluations
- Metrics & Reporting: Produce security dashboards and metrics for oversight
🎓 Experience & Credentials
- Experience: 3–5 years in security roles, familiar with NYS DFS (23 NYCRR 500), SWIFT CSP, FRB security standards
- Certifications (Optional/Recommended): CISSP, CySA+, AZ-500, SC-500
🚀 Desired Skills & Knowledge
- Expertise in: Active Directory
- Additional familiarity with: Fortinet firewalls, Tenable/Nessus, Trend Vision One, T24, FCM, FIS, SWIFT Alliance

🌐 Languages & Education
- Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical field
🗓️ Work Environment & Schedule
This position offers a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 remote per week. Additional availability may be required based on organizational needs.
