Role Summary 🎯
We are seeking qualified Intelligence Research Specialist (IRS) Level 1 candidates who will support analytic operations in confronting today's dynamic terrorism and targeted violence threats. As a civilian member of this elite bureau, you'll be recognized globally for pioneering counterterrorism strategies and law enforcement excellence.

- Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities 🔍
In this role, you will:
- Collect, analyze, and act on intelligence related to terrorism and organized violence.
- Conduct investigations of terrorism-related activities and analyze global threats.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in fields such as international relations, cybersecurity, law, and public policy.
- Utilize analytic systems, research tools, social media platforms, and databases for comprehensive analysis.
- Prepare reports and briefings, and communicate findings effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications 🌟
- U.S. citizenship with impeccable moral judgment, integrity, and trustworthiness (security clearance not mandatory but preferred).
- Ability to work on complex investigative and strategic matters at a detailed level.
- Experience with analytic systems, research tools, social media, and databases.
- Strong analytical skills, including pattern recognition and information organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional maturity, adaptability, humility, and curiosity.
- Passion for mission-driven work.
Note: Prior or active federal security clearance is not required but can be pursued. The position requires verifying eligibility to work in the U.S.
Qualifications by Assignment Level 📚
Level I
- Bachelor’s degree with 24 credits in relevant fields + 1 year of professional experience, or
- Master’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
Level II
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of experience, or
- Master’s degree + 1 year of experience.
Level III
- Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of experience, or
- Master’s degree + 2 years of experience.
Preferred Skills 🌐
- Proficiency or fluency in languages such as Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Pashto, German, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, or Mandarin Chinese.
- Ability to prepare reports and presentations on short notice.
- Experience with graphic design, geospatial mapping, financial analysis, forensic accounting, or cybersecurity.
