Position Summary
The Intake Coordinator facilitates the intake referral process and coordinates care with the team and referral sources. This role involves maintaining excellent relationships with clients by addressing their requests and concerns effectively.
Responsibilities 📝
- Manage all aspects of the intake process from start to finish.
- Process all referrals and input intake data accurately.
- Handle insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Review client information to determine home care needs upon receiving case referrals.
- Complete all admissions paperwork and input data digitally.
- Verify medical insurance coverage and benefits for each patient.
- Schedule appointments for consultations, tests, and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries via phone and email.
- Address patient complaints or concerns promptly.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and faxing documents.
- Prepare and maintain detailed patient charts.
- Ensure compliance with facility regulations and policies.
- Perform other duties as required by the role.
Required Skills & Abilities 🚀
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean.
- Flexibility to rotate on call with other administrative staff, including weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements 🏋️♂️
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk on a computer.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull at least 20 lbs.
Education & Experience 🎓
- At least one year of home care experience (preferred).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college coursework or a bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Minimum of two years' experience in patient intake or medical office administration (preferred).
