Job Opportunity: Intake Coordinator

Position Summary
The Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing the intake referral process, coordinating care with the team and referral sources, and maintaining strong relationships with clients by promptly addressing their requests and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the intake process, including:
- Processing referrals and intake data
- Verifying insurance coverage and authorizations
- Reviewing client information to assess home care needs
- Completing and digitizing all admissions paperwork
- Scheduling appointments for consultations, tests, and procedures
- Answering phone and email inquiries 📞📧
- Addressing patient complaints or concerns
- Performing clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and faxing
- Preparing and maintaining patient charts
- Ensuring compliance with facility regulations and policies
- Performing other duties as required
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Fluent in Korean (bilingual proficiency)
- Ability to work out of the Brooklyn (58th Street) office
- Flexibility to rotate on-call shifts with other administrative staff, including weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Effective time management to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 💻
- Ability to carry, lift, push, or pull at least 20 lbs
Education & Experience
- Preferred: At least one year of home care experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some college or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience in patient intake or medical office administration preferred
