Brooklyn Global Prep is seeking passionate teachers who speak Spanish, French, or Mandarin for our infant/toddler and preschool programs. What You'll Do 💡
- Engage with children: Collaborate with fellow teachers to create fun, engaging, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Encourage exploration: Expose children to a wide range of educational activities that promote self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure safety and care: Monitor children closely, maintain a clean and safe environment, and provide attentive care at all times.
- Maintain compliance: Follow all city and state regulations regarding early childhood education.
- Additional duties: Perform any other responsibilities as needed to support the classroom and program.
Position Qualifications & Requirements 🎓
- Experience: Prior experience in an infant/toddler classroom setting.
- Language proficiency: Fluent in Spanish, French, or Mandarin Chinese.
- Child care experience: Experience caring for children aged 0 to 1.5 years old.
- Physical ability: Capable of lifting children, engaging in year-round physical activities, and more.
- Hygiene standards: Ability to keep the classroom and materials clean and sanitized.
- Musical skills (optional): Playing an instrument is a plus but not required.
- Certifications: NYS Birth - 2 Certification, Child Development Associate (CDA), degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or current enrollment in relevant programs is preferred.
- First aid & safety: CPR, First Aid, and Mental Health certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
