The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated In-House Substitute who will play an essential role in maintaining our positive school culture. The substitute will support daily classroom needs and ensure that Sela’s core values are reflected in every lesson and interaction. 🌍

Job Responsibilities

• Implement the curriculum and reinforce classroom routines and procedures with consistency.
• Develop lesson plans as needed to support classroom activities.
• Communicate high expectations and standards for all students.
• Build strong relationships with students and their families through calls and conferences.
• Cover lunch, recess, and break duties as required to support school operations.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• High school diploma required; higher education (Associate’s degree or higher) preferred.
• Experience working with elementary and middle school students is a plus.
• A strong commitment to fostering academic achievement.
• Belief in each student’s potential for high academic success.
• Willingness to accept feedback and continuously improve.

Job Details

• 🐝 Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 10 months, non-exempt
• 🕗 Schedule: 7:45 am – 3:45 pm, with a 30-minute break
• 🌟 Reporting To: Senior Director, Operations, Finance, and Development
• 💰 Salary Range: $39,000 - $49,000
• 🧑‍💼 Supervisory Responsibilities: None
