About the Role

Position: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as an on-site trusted advisor and strategic partner to managers and employees across multiple locations in North America, including Canada. This role demands independence, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to people-related matters, aligning HR strategies with our business goals. You will handle employee relations, investigations, performance management, organizational change, and leader guidance, all while fostering a positive and compliant work culture.

  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Work Status: Onsite
  • Location: Various sites across North America, including Canada, with regular travel to Cranston, RI (corporate office)

  • Improved retention and engagement trends based on eNPS at supported sites 🚀
  • Reduction in repeat employee relations issues year over year 📉
  • Timely execution of cross-functional HR initiatives
  • 100% completion of ER investigations and disciplinary actions within established timelines ✔️

Key Responsibilities

  • Align business objectives with management and employees within designated units
  • Partner across HR functions to deliver value-added services that support organizational goals
  • Support local site HR operations, triage issues, and guide employees to appropriate contacts
  • Ensure consistency, compliance, and fair treatment of employees
  • Develop strategies to strengthen HR-site relationships
  • Guide managers on employee inquiries, performance reviews, coaching, counseling, documentation, and terminations
  • Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention
  • Identify retention challenges proactively and provide effective solutions
  • Consult with Operations on HR-related issues and provide guidance
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations, conduct investigations, and address concerns objectively
  • Support managers in sensitive personnel matters and organizational changes
  • Protect the security of confidential information and data
  • Oversee onboarding, training compliance, payroll queries, leave paperwork, and cross-functional needs
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs
  • Complete monthly HR reporting metrics (e.g., exit interviews, retention)
  • Stay updated on HR trends, employment laws, and regulations across North America
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the supported business areas

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience in fast-paced or high-volume HR roles, including Employee Relations
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or related); SPHR preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Effective at transitioning between tasks quickly
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of employment laws and labor relations
  • Strong project and change management capabilities
  • Proficient writing and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese

Work Environment & Management

This role primarily operates in an office setting with occasional exposure to production environments requiring safety gear and noise precautions. It is an onsite position reporting daily to each site. The position does not have direct reports and offers a comprehensive compensation package based on experience and certifications. 💼
