Position Overview ✨

We are entering an exciting phase of international growth and digital modernization, and we need a sophisticated Director of Human Resources to lead our organizational transformation.

This executive will serve as the architect of our human capital ecosystem, transforming our talent infrastructure into a key competitive advantage. Working closely with our CEO and Chief Strategy Officer, you will foster a high-velocity workplace that combines East Asian corporate strengths with vibrant US markets.

Key Responsibilities 🚀

  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Collaborate with leadership to design scalable organizational structures supporting global expansion and digital growth.
  • Talent Acquisition & Executive Search: Lead recruitment efforts across corporate, digital/e-commerce, and creative verticals to build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Cultural Integration & Transformation: Drive innovation by cultivating a high-performance, culturally diverse corporate environment that bridges US and Korean business styles.
  • Total Rewards & Executive Compensation: Oversee competitive compensation structures, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits packages.
  • Performance Management & Talent Development: Implement data-driven frameworks to upskill management and develop future leaders.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage HR operations, employee relations, and ensure adherence to US federal, state (NY), and local labor laws.
  • Change Management: Provide strategic HR leadership during digital transformations, scaling initiatives, and potential mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications & Experience 🎓

  • Executive HR Tenure: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 3–5 years in a Senior Director or Head of HR role within fast-growing or publicly traded companies.
  • Industry & Scale Background: Experience in CPG, Beauty, Cosmetics, or Retail sectors managing an organization of 300+ employees preferred.
  • Cross-Cultural Competency: Strong familiarity with Korean conglomerates or multinational corporations’ organizational dynamics and cultural nuances.
  • Bilingual Capabilities: Proficiency in English and Korean (written and verbal) to effectively engage with cross-border stakeholders.
  • Change & Tech Savvy: Proven success leading HR initiatives through digital transformations, scaling teams, or post-M&A integrations.
  • Academic Credentials: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields from a top-tier institution; SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
