📝 Position Summary
The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing HR operations to maintain an efficient and supportive environment for both staff and clients, contributing to the overall success of our agency.
🔹 Responsibilities
- Manage Recruitment: Post job ads, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and onboard new hires.
- Point of Contact: Serve as a go-to resource for caregivers on HR-related issues, benefits, and policies. Address concerns and mediate conflicts.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain confidential employee records.
- Training Support: Assist with mandatory and relevant training programs.
- Paperwork Management: Track and maintain physical and medical documentation to ensure compliance.
- Event Planning: Support HR event planning for caregivers.
- HHA/PCA Classes: Assist with class coordination and administration.
📍 In-Person Requirements
Must be able to work from our Brooklyn location. In-person orientation and training will be completed at our Bayside site.
🛠️ Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (beneficial)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Effective time management with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
💪 Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to carry, lift, push, or pull at least 20 lbs
🎓 Education & Experience
- Minimum one year of experience in home care or a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Previous HR experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
