📝 Position Summary

The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the human resources functions to ensure the agency operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining a well-functioning home care agency and ensuring that both staff and clients are well-supported.

💼 Responsibilities

  • Manage Recruitment: Post job ads, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and onboard new hires.
  • Serve as Point of Contact: Address HR-related issues, benefits, policies, and mediate conflicts for caregivers.
  • Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure adherence to all employment laws, maintain employee records confidentially.
  • Training Support: Assist with relevant training programs for staff.
  • Document Management: Track and maintain all physical and medical paperwork, ensuring compliance.
  • Event Planning: Assist with HR-related events for caregivers.

🎯 Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese.
  • Ability to commute to the Brooklyn Office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (beneficial).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective time management to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

⚙️ Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to carry, lift, push, or pull at least 20 lbs.

🎓 Education & Experience

  • At least one year of experience in home care or a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
