Job Summary

The HR Advisor serves as the primary contact for HR-related questions from associates and managers, handling inquiries via email, phone, and other channels. You will investigate employee concerns and support disciplinary, termination, and employee relations processes.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and employee relations issues, acting as intermediary between associates and payroll or benefits help desks.
• Guide managers on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and resolving disputes, providing risk assessments for terminations.
• Investigate complaints related to working conditions, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful terminations, offering solutions and support.
• Research salary discrepancies and ensure compliance with policies, coordinating with operations as needed.
• Advise on reductions in force, layoffs, and organizational changes, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with legal counsel and escalate issues to Field HR Consultants when necessary.
• Assist with special projects, including translation of investigative documentation from Spanish to English.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience: 2+ years as an HR generalist, preferably in a large organization
• Language skills: English and Spanish bilingual preferred
• Technical skills: Proficient in SAP, report generation, web research, and HR software
• Legal knowledge: Understanding of employment laws across multiple states
• Core competencies: Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Attributes: Flexible, creative team player with good judgment and interpersonal skills
