Job Description
Language Requirement 🇫🇷
BILINGUAL: Must speak and write fluent French.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the MI Project Management team to deliver high-quality Synapse solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse product lines.
- Perform enterprise-level custom projects such as data migrations, interface integration, and data conversion.
- Integrate Synapse MI products with third-party healthcare systems (e.g., EMR, PACS, RIS, HIS, VNA).
- Follow internal project communication guidelines using provided tools.
- Develop extensive documentation including customer-specific solution designs and best practices.
- Learn new Synapse and third-party products (notably EMR systems used in Canadian healthcare settings) as they are released.
- Participate in SME programs, team meetings, and cross-functional projects.
- Mentor and train peers, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer.
- Work independently as a lead project technical resource.
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, FDA, ISO, and other applicable standards.
Qualifications 🎓
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related fields; or equivalent experience.
- Expert understanding of information technologies in clinical environments—radiology, cardiology, RIS, VNA, etc.
- 4-5 years' experience with HL7 integration in hospital environments.
- Proficiency in HL7 v2, DICOM, FHIR, and IHE profiles.
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athena, Meditech, etc.) and Canadian health data interfaces.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle) and scripting languages (Lua, JavaScript, Python).
- Hands-on experience with interface engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Mirth Connect).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows, radiology, cardiology, and network technologies.
- Preference given to bilingual candidates in English and French.
Physical & Travel Requirements 🚶♂️✈️
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for majority of the workday.
- Use hands and fingers to operate keyboards and manipulate items.
- Stand, talk, hear, and lift up to 10 pounds as needed.
- Close vision capabilities required.
- Occasional travel (up to 25%) based on business needs.
Salary & Benefits 💼
Annual salary ranges from $89,646.00 to $116,700.20 depending on experience, with a 10% bonus opportunity. Benefits include:
