Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsements in French (FA)
Core Competencies & Understanding
- Awareness of physical, social, emotional, and academic development of learners
- Ability to nurture home-school-community relationships
- Proficiency and knowledge in core subject areas
- Ability to create and maintain a flexible, student-centered, and pleasant learning environment with effective classroom management
- Familiarity with culturally relevant pedagogy and incorporation into teaching practices
- Understanding of interventions like Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Collaboration with colleagues within professional learning communities
- Practical experience with research-based instructional practices
- Effective use of formative and summative assessments to evaluate and enhance student achievement
- Ability to implement district curriculum consistently
- Analysis of student assessment data in collaboration with school leaders to inform instruction
- Collaboration within grade level teams to share best practices and ensure mastery of standards

Additional Details
Starting Date and Orientation
New hires are expected to begin on August 25, 2026, with a mandatory three-day orientation from August 19-21, 2026.
Salary Range
- Bachelor's degree: up to step 7
- Master's degree: up to step 5
