Main Purpose of the Job 🎯

The Hebrew Linguist is responsible for quality control, transcreation, and on-demand translation tasks for assigned projects. They coordinate activities among translators (internal and freelancers), ensure high standards of work within deadlines, and oversee adherence to the Language Process.

Main Responsibilities 💼

• Perform copy-edit tasks on designated projects or accounts
• Execute on-demand translation assignments
• Provide lead support for assigned projects or accounts
• Manage and update language materials such as glossaries, style guides, and work instructions to meet quality standards
• Handle project-related inquiries and resolve issues
• Facilitate effective communication among team members regarding terminology and language concerns
• Test and qualify new freelancers and vendors as needed
• Develop and train internal linguists and freelancers, enhancing team skills based on project needs
• Engage with clients on linguistic matters as required
• Contribute to developing improved workflows and processes
• Meet or surpass productivity KPIs
• Achieve goals set by the Squad Lead

Requirements ✅

Education 🎓

• University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a translator and/or reviewer or equivalent work experience

Experience ✨

• Native proficiency in Hebrew
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Experience translating in areas such as Mobile Apps, Search Engines, IT Consumer Products, Entertainment, Marketing, Software UI, Websites
• Deep knowledge of terminology in IT, social media, and entertainment
• Comprehensive understanding of the localization process
• Proficiency with standard software like Windows and Office applications
• Experience with CAT tools such as XTM, SDL Studio, and familiar with issue tracking tools like JIRA
• Quick learner of new localization tools and applications
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of terminology across multiple subject areas
• Capacity to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback
• Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to diverse audiences
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability in variable situations
• Willingness to train and mentor others
• Positive communication with customers at various levels
• Ability to work efficiently within a virtual team environment
