Position Overview
We are seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals to work as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As an interpreter with Hanna, you will contribute positively to society by enhancing language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. Enjoy the flexibility of setting your own schedule, accepting appointments based on your availability.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- 🕗 Appointments available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
- ⚠️ Appointments are based on need and are not guaranteed.
- 💰 Hourly rates range from $25 to $30, influenced by language demand, your experience, and availability.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Hebrew, with a solid grasp of idiomatic speech and cultural nuances.
- Previous interpreting experience, ideally in medical, legal, or educational contexts.
- Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in operating basic communication tools.
- Flexibility to work in diverse settings and adapt to various environments.
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or certification in interpreting or related fields.
