📝 GENERAL FUNCTION / SUMMARY

The Health Insurance CSR is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by addressing health insurance inquiries, managing policy servicing, and resolving claims. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks. Experience in group health insurance and adaptability to new processes are essential.

💼 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Support & Policy Servicing

  • Assist clients with health insurance inquiries, including plan details, benefits, and policy changes.
  • Guide clients on group health insurance policies, covering employee enrollments, renewals, and coverage updates.
  • Address billing questions, resolve claims issues, and handle ID card requests promptly.
  • Follow up with clients and carriers to ensure timely policy approvals and documentation updates.
  • Educate clients on open enrollment (OE) processes, renewal options, and policy compliance.

Administrative Support & Task Management

  • Maintain accurate client records, update CRM systems, and document service requests properly.
  • Process policy changes, enrollments, terminations, and premium adjustments accurately.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure efficient workflows and timely responses.
  • Assist with routine communications, emails, and service requests efficiently.

Collaboration & Continuous Learning

  • Work closely with internal teams, agents, and carriers to resolve client issues effectively.
  • Participate in training sessions and carrier webinars to stay current on industry changes and insurance products.
  • Adapt swiftly to new procedures, software, and regulations to enhance performance.
  • Support cross-departmental projects aimed at improving customer experience.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

🎯 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in group health insurance, benefits administration, or customer service is preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client assistance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Quick learner capable of adapting to new processes and insurance guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
