Position: Policy Analyst – Government Affairs 🌍

Summary

As a vital member of LG’s Government Affairs team, the Policy Analyst will support the implementation of LG’s legislative and regulatory initiatives. This role involves advocating for LG’s policy priorities at local, state, and federal levels and may require registration as a federal lobbyist.

Responsibilities

  • 🤝 Work cross-functionally to develop a legislative and regulatory policy agenda that promotes business growth and aligns with the LG Way.
  • 🔍 Identify business opportunities and risks from pending legislative and regulatory initiatives across various levels of government.
  • 🎯 Contribute to advocacy strategies on key policy issues.
  • 🗣 Engage with trade associations and consultants to inform business leaders of relevant public policy developments.
  • 📝 Draft policy-related briefing materials, including memos and PowerPoint presentations.
  • 🚀 Own and advance priorities within their portfolio.
  • 🏢 Represent LG at industry events as needed.
  • 🔧 Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 🎓 Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 🕒 Minimum of 3 years experience in Capitol Hill, executive branch, or related government relations (trade associations, corporate, or non-profit).
  • 🗣 Fluent in English and Korean (reading, writing, speaking).
  • 📝 Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • 📚 In-depth understanding of legislative and political processes, especially in energy, trade, or tax issues.
  • 🤝 Experience collaborating with trade associations, industry groups, and coalitions.
  • 💻 Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • ✍️ Excellent writing skills for briefs, reports, and policy analyses.

Compensation & Benefits 💰

Recruiting Range: $70,000 — $90,000 USD
