Position Overview
As a Bilingual General Clerk II (Seasonal), you will assist consumers by making outbound calls with scripts, maintaining detailed records, and providing excellent customer service to help Americans access affordable healthcare. Join a team supporting the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services under the Department of Health and Human Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Post and modify information in agency records
- Communicate effectively with consumers in both English and Spanish
- Provide telephone support via inbound and outbound calls
- Input, record, and retrieve data in internal databases
- Perform data entry, calculations, and follow work instructions
- Participate in training and certification programs
- Adhere to compliance and quality standards
- Recognize and escalate issues when necessary
- Collaborate effectively within a team and demonstrate flexibility
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Available Schedule
🕗 Monday - Friday | 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM
Compensation and Duration
💰 Pay: $21.14/hour + $4.93/hour H&W
Depending on hire date, the seasonal employment typically lasts 3 to 6 months. High-performing seasonal employees may be offered full-time positions.
Work Environment & Location
This is primarily a temporary telecommuting position, but may require onsite work based on business needs. Employees must be prepared to return to onsite duties as directed.
Note: To qualify for remote work, applicants must reside in Washington, Madison, or Benton counties and have a suitable, secure home workspace with reliable internet connectivity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education may substitute experience)
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening (no medical marijuana cards)
- Strong internet connectivity and a designated, secure home workspace
- Residency within Washington, Madison, or Benton counties
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Clerical skills: data entry, typing, outbound calls
- Excellent communication skills in both languages
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask using multiple screens and software
- Independent worker with strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information following PII standards
