The Role 🎯

The Senior Associate, Editorial Services (French) supports the production of all official Games publications and editorial content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistent branding. Responsibilities include translating select materials from English to French and contributing to engaging content across print and digital platforms. Reporting to the Head of Editorial Services, you'll help craft narratives that celebrate the Games and inspire a global audience.

Key Responsibilities 🚀

• Copywriting & Content Development:
  • Draft and refine high-quality content for playbooks, venue guides, factsheets, FAQs, and signage.
  • Translate selected publications and promotional messages from English to French.
  • Adapt content for diverse audiences, platforms, and accessibility needs.
• Editorial Support:
  • Proofread, fact-check, and fine-tune content for accuracy and tone consistency.
  • Maintain editorial templates, style guides, and terminology databases.
• Translations:
  • Serve as LA28’s official French translator for publications and promotional content.
  • Collaborate with AI language tools to ensure culturally relevant and precise translations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to gather, verify, and update content.
  • Manage version control across teams and publication phases.
• Visual Design & Layout:
  • Work with design teams to create visually appealing editorial assets.
  • Ensure all materials meet LA28 branding and accessibility standards.
• Project Coordination:
  • Assist with planning and producing print and digital publications from concept to delivery.
  • Manage timelines, file preparations, and vendor communications.
• Imagery & Rights Management:
  • Source imagery rights and ensure proper brand alignment.

Qualifications & Skills 📚

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or French.
• Fluency in both spoken and written French.
• Proven translation experience of publications from English to French.
• Minimum of 4+ years in editorial, publishing, or copywriting roles.
• Strong storytelling, editing, and writing skills for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with design/layout tools such as Adobe InDesign.

Compensation 💰

The annual base salary for this role ranges from $73,000 – $95,000. Salary offers depend on experience, qualifications, and organizational needs.
