This role is pivotal in delivering accurate, engaging, and culturally relevant materials to global audiences, ensuring the success of the Games and the celebration of LA's rich legacy.

The Role

The Senior Associate, Editorial Services (French) supports the production of all official Games publications and editorial content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency. The role involves translating select materials from English to French, contributing to accessible, engaging content across print and digital platforms. Reporting to the Head of Editorial Services, you will help shape the narratives that celebrate the Games and motivate a global audience.

Key Responsibilities ✍️

• Copywriting & Content Development:
  • Draft and refine high-quality content for materials such as playbooks, venue guides, factsheets, FAQs, and signage.
  • Translate select publications and promotional messages from English to French.
  • Adapt content for different audiences, platforms, and accessibility needs.
• Editorial Support:
  • Proofread, fact-check, and fine-tune content to ensure accuracy and tone consistency.
  • Maintain editorial templates, style guides, and terminology databases.
• Translations:
  • Serve as LA28’s official French translator for publications and promotional content.
  • Work with AI language tools to ensure translations are culturally relevant and accurate.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Gather content from various departments, verify accuracy, and manage updates.
  • Coordinate version control across teams and publication phases.
• Visual Design & Layout:
  • Collaborate with design teams to create visually compelling editorial assets.
  • Ensure all materials adhere to LA28 branding and accessibility standards.
• Project Coordination:
  • Assist in planning and producing print and digital publications, from concept to delivery.
  • Manage timelines, file preparations, and vendor communications.
• Imagery & Rights Management:
  • Source and oversee imagery rights clearance, ensuring proper brand alignment.

Qualifications & Skills 🎓

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or French required.
• Fluency in both spoken and written French is essential.
• Proven experience translating publications from English to French.
• At least 4+ years of experience in editorial, publishing, or copywriting roles.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with design/layout software such as Adobe InDesign.

• Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak periods.
• Potential for evolving responsibilities, including operational support during the Games.

Compensation 💰

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000 – $95,000. Salary offers will be determined based on individual qualifications, experience, and organizational needs.
