Education Française Austin (EFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching French language and culture to children and teenagers outside of regular school hours. Recognized by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the FLAM network, EFA has been conducting Saturday morning classes at Magellan International School in Austin since 2011.

With a curriculum designed to enhance all four language skills, EFA offers DELF Junior exam preparation and serves as an authorized exam center. Beyond regular classes, EFA provides June French immersion camps and hosts cultural community events. The organization is committed to promoting bilingual education and enriching Austin’s vibrant Francophone community. 🌍

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site French Teacher position based in Austin, TX. The French Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to children and teenagers, focusing on developing their oral and written French comprehension and production skills.

Key duties include:

• Preparing academic materials
• Evaluating student progress
• Supporting exam preparations such as the DELF Junior
• Participating in curriculum development
• Contributing to EFA’s cultural events and immersion programs

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Education principles and practices
• Native or near-native proficiency in French; fluency in English is a plus
• Passionate about sharing knowledge and inspiring younger generations ✨
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, classroom management, or language immersion programs is an advantage

Nos cours de 3 heures sont dispensés les samedis matin, de mi-septembre à mi-mai, en présentiel.

Dans le cadre de sa croissance, EFA recrute des enseignants de français.

Compétences requises

• Vous avez le français comme langue maternelle 🇫🇷
• Esprit d’équipe et capacité à collaborer avec collègues et la coordinatrice pédagogique
• Expérience significative dans l’enseignement du français à des jeunes enfants ou adolescents, avec capacité à repérer les progrès et difficultés, en adaptant la pédagogie
• Ouverture à des formations pédagogiques offertes par EFA
• Connaissance des outils Google (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Slides, Classroom) et volonté de suivre des formations continues

Conditions d’embauche

• Vous êtes légalement autorisé à travailler aux États-Unis (EFA ne peut sponsoriser de visas)
• Disponibilité les samedis matins et occasionnellement les samedis après-midi ou en semaine pour réunions et formations, de fin août à fin mai
