UCSD Is Hiring A French Literature Lecturer

The Department of Literature at UC San Diego is hiring a part-time instructor for the Fall 2026 quarter to teach intermediate French courses.

Position: Part-Time French Instructor (Fall 2026)

The Literatures of the World section within the Department of Literature is seeking a qualified candidate to support their curriculum by teaching intermediate French courses during the upcoming academic year.

Key Responsibilities

• Course Development: Design syllabi and teach three intermediate French courses: 2A, 2B, and 2C, over the academic year.
• Assessment: Administer and score placement exams during Winter and Spring quarters only.
• Enrollment Management: Review and process enrollment authorization requests via EASy during Winter and Spring quarters only.
• Student Engagement: Hold regular office hours to support student learning and address inquiries.
