Job Description

I-Call International is seeking dedicated French Interpreters to work remotely as French Consecutive Medical Interpreters. Your primary role will be to bridge communication between healthcare providers and French-speaking patients, ensuring clear and accurate exchanges in medical contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpretation: Accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, and treatments between French-speaking patients and healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, and medical staff.
• Cultural Mediation: Provide cultural insights to help patients understand the healthcare system and assist providers in understanding cultural differences that may influence care.
• Confidentiality: Maintain strict patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interpretation services.
• Documentation: Record details of interpretation sessions such as date, time, duration, and type of interpretation conducted.
• Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest medical terminology and healthcare practices to ensure precision in interpretation.

Qualifications

• Fluency in French and English
• Experience in interpretation or translation
• Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of the healthcare system
• Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
