Position: Middle School French / World Languages Teacher
You will play a critical role in student success. Your goal is to create an exciting classroom environment while maintaining a rigorous, learning-focused curriculum. Students should feel prepared for life beyond school as they develop competency in French and global cultures.
Course Offerings:
- French I: An introductory French class for 8th-grade students for high school credit
- World Languages: A trimester-long elective introducing students to various languages and cultures worldwide

Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan (elementary/secondary) teaching certificate with FA certification required
- Candidates without a Michigan Teaching Certificate but with a Bachelor's Degree in French or a related field may be considered

Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate; French (Majors and/or Minors)
- Proficiency in at least one other language (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of Michigan’s Curriculum Expectations in English and French
- Strong belief in student success
- Ability to plan engaging lessons and use data effectively
- Motivational skills for at-risk students
- Excellent classroom management
- Willingness to teach a lesson during the interview process
