About the Role
Today, United Airlines boasts over 30,000 active flight attendants, making us the largest airline worldwide with the most extensive route network. Our industry-leading pay and rapid growth make flight attendant roles highly sought after, and the best part? No special schooling or college degree required — we'll train you fully!
Your Training & Onboard Journey
- Initial Training: 6.5 weeks in Houston, TX, where you will learn United's safety and service standards.
- Base Assignment: Post-training, you'll be assigned to one of our seven hubs (Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles) — relocation funds are not provided.
- Perks During Training: Receive a \$140/week stipend, dual-occupancy hotel accommodations, breakfast, and a meal (lunch or dinner depending on schedule).

Qualifications & Requirements ✅
- Be 21 years or older at application time.
- High school diploma or GED; 2+ years of college preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience in retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, or social services.
- Fluent in English; fluency in Italian is required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and organize emergency scenarios effectively.
- Tattoos: No tattoos on head, hands, fingers, or neck. Visible tattoos on arms, legs, or feet are permitted if they are smaller than a credit card or covered by uniform.
- Must possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport with at least 12 months of validity, in good condition, with two blank pages.
- Ability to travel unrestricted to all United destinations.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 250 lbs.), operate equipment, and pass reach assessments.
- Willing to serve alcohol and work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Onboarding & Training Expectations 🚀
- Participate in water evacuation drills.
- Complete pre-employment drug screening, background check, fingerprinting, and vision and hearing tests.
- Pass DOT/FAA drug tests and a comprehensive background check.
- Meet hearing and vision standards per FAA guidelines.
- Successfully complete all training requirements to qualify as a United Flight Attendant.
