📝 Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the entire lifecycle of our water treatment solutions—from design and installation to commissioning and ongoing maintenance. This role involves significant travel and requires proactive problem-solving to ensure optimal system performance at client sites.
🔧 Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for the installation and commissioning of water treatment and process systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and equipment issues to maintain optimal performance
- Lead maintenance and calibration of tools, sensors, and test equipment
- Conduct site surveys and assist with installation planning and system upgrades
- Train customers and junior technicians on system operations, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques
- Document site activities, system performance, and service visits with accuracy and timeliness
- Travel to domestic and international project sites (up to 85% travel may be required) ✈️
🎓 Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred)
- 8–10 years of experience in installation, commissioning, or servicing of industrial water/process equipment
- Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, process piping, and electrical control systems
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens preferred)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
- Project leadership or field management experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform demanding tasks
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other languages)
- Experience working with hazardous materials and adhering to industrial safety protocols
- Knowledge of process chemistry and analytical instrumentation
- Comfortable working with low-voltage systems (24VDC – 480VAC)
🛫 Travel & Certification Notes
Some assignments may require travel within the US and Canada, lasting up to 2 weeks at a time. Applicants must possess a valid passport. Travel Requirements: Up to 85% travel may be necessary, and candidates should be prepared accordingly.
🔑 Required Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with water system equipment
- Knowledge of osmosis, ultrafiltration, pumps, and hydraulic water treatment equipment
- Experience with Swedish water treatment machinery
- Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant industry experience
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hard Hat, Safety Boots, Vest
