The Facilities Operations Coordinator (Korean Bilingual) is responsible for managing cafeteria operations and ensuring compliance with safety and health standards, while acting as a key liaison with vendors and regulatory agencies. 🍽️📝
Position Summary
The Cafeteria & Facilities Operations Coordinator oversees daily cafeteria functions, manages vendor relationships, and maintains safety, sanitation, and compliance standards. This role supports internal teams, manages documentation, and assists expatriate employees, ensuring a smooth and compliant operation of kitchen and facility services.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Source, manage, and negotiate with local food ingredient vendors to secure competitive pricing and service agreements.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary contact for government inspections and regulatory correspondence (e.g., Health Department).
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to sanitation, disinfection, and waste management standards, maintaining all necessary documentation.
- Security & Safety Protocols: Oversee kitchen and cafeteria security, including access control and safety procedures.
- Vendor Coordination: Lead meetings with external vendors such as food suppliers and vending machine providers.
- Inventory Management: Manage supplies, including employee uniforms, lockers, and related items.
- Staff Scheduling & Compliance: Track attendance and breaks for cafeteria and kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with labor regulations.
- Documentation & Records: Maintain operational manuals, compliance records, and other documentation.
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of cafeteria and breakroom equipment and facilities.
- Expat Support: Assist expatriate employees with housing, transportation, and administrative needs.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience in facilities management, food service, or administration
- Experience working with vendors and managing contracts/services
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations (preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication skills with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or operational systems is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Korean)
