Position Overview

Location: Cupertino / Saratoga, California (San Francisco Bay Area)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (combination of remote and in-person work)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to provide comprehensive support to the CEO of an innovative startup currently operating in stealth mode. This role demands discretion, bilingual communication in English and Mandarin, and the ability to handle a range of administrative tasks.

The responsibilities include translation, scheduling, external outreach, and supporting the CEO’s meetings and travel arrangements.

Note: Candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area are preferred due to occasional in-person requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Assist with daily organizational tasks and support the CEO's business activities.
  • Translation: Translate written and spoken communications between Mandarin Chinese and English.
  • Scheduling & Travel: Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel logistics.
  • Meeting & Event Preparation: Facilitate preparations and follow-ups for meetings, trips, and events.
  • External Outreach: Communicate with external contacts such as researchers, academics, and industry professionals on behalf of the CEO.
  • Project Coordination: Handle clerical tasks related to the CEO’s projects and business initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in science, engineering, or a technology-related field.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Independence & Organization: Ability to independently coordinate outreach and meetings, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Discretion: Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduation from a prestigious university.
  • Experience supporting executives, founders, or senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with academic, research, or technology environments.

Work Arrangement

This role is a hybrid position. While many tasks can be completed remotely, the assistant may occasionally need to work in person in the Cupertino/Saratoga area for translation, administrative support, and coordination duties. 🏢

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
