Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Position: Part-Time Korean Language Instructor for Summer Program
• Location: Tenafly, NJ
• Duration: 8 weeks, twice a week, 2 hours per session
• Focus: Teaching Korean language skills in an engaging and culturally rich environment, incorporating music, games, storytelling, and interactive activities
• Qualifications: Bilingual in Korean and English, experience with young children, passionate about Korean culture

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver age-appropriate Korean lessons tailored for elementary students
• Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills using fun, interactive methods
• Incorporate games, songs, storytelling, and hands-on activities to make learning enjoyable
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging students to confidently use Korean
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
• Prepare and clean the classroom before and after each session
• Coordinate with the Education Department to ensure lesson alignment with program goals
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Qualifications and Requirements 🎓

• Fluency in Korean and English (Required)
• Experience teaching Korean to elementary students is preferred
• Ability to engage and manage young learners effectively
• Creative, enthusiastic, and capable of teaching through play, music, and storytelling
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable commute to Tenafly, NJ for in-person classes

Pay and Benefits 💰

Rate: $40 per hour
