What You'll Do

The Donation Center Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily functions of Elica's Resource Center, including the Community Closet and Food Pantry. Responsibilities include:

• Inventory Management: Sorting, organizing, restocking donated clothing, food, and household items.
• Customer Service: Greeting visitors and patients respectfully, distributing items per guidelines, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining accurate logs, inventory counts, and ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Logistics & Transportation: Transporting donations, assisting with loading/unloading, and completing related mileage and expenses reporting.
• Outreach & Events: Participating in community initiatives, including weekend activities and distributions.
• Facility Support & Collaboration: Assisting with general facility maintenance and working closely with various teams for smooth operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate will be willing and able to:

Donation Center Operations

• Participate in daily operations, sorting and organizing donations
• Greet visitors and distribute items following established rules
• Maintain donation area cleanliness, safety, and organization

Inventory, Logs, & Documentation

• Accurately record all activities in Excel logs and tracking systems
• Assist with inventory counts and audits
• Handle sensitive information per HIPAA guidelines

Logistics & Transportation

• Travel as required, using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursements
• Transport donations to and from the Donation Center and distribution sites
• Assist with loading/unloading at distribution events

Outreach & Events

• Participate in community outreach, including occasional weekend events
• Support distribution activities both on-site and off-site

Daily Facility Support

• Maintain cleanliness in Donation Center and office areas
• Perform general cleaning tasks as needed

Collaboration & Compliance

• Work closely with various teams at Elica to ensure smooth operations and compliance
