🎯 About the Position
The Customer Service Representative - Bilingual Korean Vote Center/Election Representative (Extra Help) will support Vote Centers across Orange County for the June 2, 2026, statewide primary election. The role involves:
- Processing and assisting voters
- Issuing ballots
- Accepting Vote-by-Mail ballots
- Other election-related tasks as assigned
The training is 2 days starting mid-March, with a work commitment of approximately 7 days from May 27 to June 3, 2026.
🔍 Service Regions & Locations
You may be assigned to any Vote Center within one of the five regions based on operational needs:
- Central Orange County: Anaheim, North Tustin, Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin, Villa Park
- South Orange County: Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Silverado Canyon, Trabuco Canyon
- West Orange County: Cypress, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Stanton, Westminster
- North Orange County: Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, La Palma, Placentia, Yorba Linda
- Coast Orange County: Costa Mesa, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Newport Beach
🌟 Ideal Candidate & Qualifications
The perfect candidate will:
- Be available for approximately 10 days over two months
- Attend 2 days of remote or in-person training
- Work about 4 days at Vote Centers, including setup, voting days, and takedown
- Be flexible to work overtime, evenings, and weekends
- Exhibit patience and courtesy with a diverse public
- Possess excellent communication skills in English and Korean
- Be computer literate with ability to operate laptops and access databases
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Possess customer service skills and follow instructions accurately

- Possess sufficient vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and physical mobility for the job
- Remain calm and focused in interpersonal scenarios

📝 Recruitment & Selection Process
The Registrar of Voters will:
- Screen applications and supplemental questions for minimum and desirable qualifications
- Invite qualified candidates to complete an online self-administered exam (weighted 100%)
- Notify successful candidates for the next steps in the process
After assessment completion, an eligible list will be established for future opportunities.
