🌎 Job Overview

As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will be vital in delivering Children's Crisis Response services within a dedicated team. Your role involves providing targeted interventions for up to 72 hours, with a mix of day, evening, and occasional weekend shifts. You will perform initial client assessments, develop tailored Crisis Plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Continuous evaluation and documentation throughout treatment are essential components of this impactful role.

🎯 Requirements

  • Master's Degree plus one (1) year of experience, OR bachelor's degree with three (3) years of experience (five (5) years preferred)
  • Prior experience providing treatment services to children or adolescents
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Valid NJ driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • LSW or LAC certification a plus

🚨 Major Responsibilities

  • Deliver Crisis Response services 24/7, providing interventions for up to 72 hours. Flexibility to work a combination of day and evening shifts, including some weekends. May need to stay past scheduled hours to complete ongoing crisis responses.
  • Conduct initial assessments of clients’ needs based on program guidelines and develop Individual Crisis Plans.
  • Complete assessments mandated by regulatory agencies, ensuring thorough and competent evaluation.
  • Re-evaluate clients regularly to identify new needs or issues, maintaining at least weekly contact, documented promptly.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of all treatments and interventions for quality records.
  • Update clients’ Clinical Records timely and accurately.
  • Maintain comprehensive electronic records within the DHS CYBER software system, including all care provided.
  • Assist with online applications (such as 3560/PE) and ensure necessary documentation is sent to appropriate agencies to secure insurance coverage for families.
