Objectives of the Role

• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with high-volume workloads and tight deadlines.
• Raises the bar consistently by creating fresh, engaging Arabic-first copy that connects with audiences and prompts action.
• Adapts the voice, style, and tone of messaging based on communication channels and target audiences.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of communication trends and Deliveroo's style guides for cohesive messaging.

Responsibilities

• Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts primarily in Arabic
• Collaborate with the brand and marketing teams to craft Arabic copy and captions for campaigns
• Create Arabic copy for CRM campaigns and owned channels in partnership with marketing
• Translate content between English and Arabic, with a specialization in Arabic copywriting
• Research customer needs and target audiences in the UAE and Kuwait, understanding local dialects and cultural nuances (including Khaliji for UAE and specific dialects for Kuwait)
• Develop original Arabic-first content and edit marketing materials for clarity and impact
• Present Arabic copy concepts and final deliverables to internal teams
• Incorporate feedback to revise and enhance content

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional Arabic copywriting experience with a strong portfolio
• Exceptional writing and research skills
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, Arabic, English, communications, or literature
• Experience in proofreading and familiarity with style guides
• Knowledge of content management systems
• A keen eye for detail and appreciation for good design
